Zimmer Golden Spirit. The Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded
in 1978 by Art Zimmer. Building neo-classical styled automobiles
with Golden Spirit being its flagship model. Producing over 1500
cars from 1978-1988. The Golden spirit was built on a Ford Mustang
chassis and drivetrain. Creating pieces of art that continue to
turn heads today. The elongated fiberglass bodies were designed to
reflect classic cars from the 1920s and 30s. With standout features
including long flowing fenders, running boards, exposed large
headlights, mesh grills, faux exhaust ports, opera windows, half
vinyl roofs, side-mount spare tires, wire wheels, an ostentatious
grilles and hood ornaments, and so much more.This 1983 Zimmer
Golden Spirit is painted in tuxedo black with all the extra
glamorous touches. Wide white wall tires mounted on deep dish wire
wheels, vinyl wrapped rear trunk, eagle hood ornament, and all the
Golden Spirit features mentioned above making this Zimmer a real
conversation piece. The luxurious beige interior consists of Recaro
leather bucket front seats, wood trim panels, ultra-thick
carpeting, and bud vases. Comfort features include air
conditioning, power windows, power locks, power sunroof, tilt,
cruise, wood steering wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. Under the
hood rests a Ford 5.0 V-8 attached to a three-speed automatic
transmission. Power steering and power brakes make this 1983 Zimmer
