HIGHLIGHTS: This is a 1990s essential modern classic suited to the
needs of any enthusiast looking for a little automotive excitement
when behind the wheel of an iconic car. For many, the 'IROC' era
third-generation Camaros are a symbol of hair metal, flashy
clothes, and America. A few sneaky upgrades bring this American
icon into the 21st century!
BODY OVERVIEW: We've reached a point in time where cars with
six-digit odometers are being restored and customized. Don't let
the mileage fool you, this Camaro appears to have been gone through
from top to bottom and is arguably nicer than it ever was new! This
car has been driven and enjoyed since the restoration so there are
some very minor imperfections to be found, but overall the exterior
is very straight and presents incredibly well lowered on chrome
wheels.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint is just as nice as the body it
is wrapped around. There are some extremely minor chips and nicks
in a couple of areas, but this is to be expected from any car that
has been driven on the road. The paint has excellent depth and we
can't think of a better color choice for a 1990s RS Camaro!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition is very nice
and very much presents in restored condition. The black and gray
cloth interior is the classic match for the red exterior paint and
the seats are in excellent condition, a sight seldom seen on
domestic sports cars of this era. As with the exterior, the
interior presents well.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Remember how this car has some sneaky upgrades
that modernize the driving experience? Well, they aren't so sneaky
once you pop the hood! During the restoration, the antiquated 1990s
small block was tossed and a 5.7L LS1 V8 filled the void! This
Camaro runs smoothly and has a menacing, not-so-subtle exhaust
note. It fires right up at a turn of the key and is ready to go
whenever you are! In addition to the LS1, some notable underside
upgrades have been made including various suspension components and
four-wheel disc brakes with drilled front rotors. It handles well
and has plenty of power to go for a cruise with the T-tops off!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The essential early 1990s styling,
and classic red on black color combination!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This is not a car for someone
who doesn't like attention!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The A/C and horn are not currently
operational.
