Vehicle Description
CPR is elated to offer one of the finest Concours restorations we
have ever produced. This 1976 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera MFI is an
every nut and bolt restoration that was completed here at CPR back
in July of 2014.
The car first arrived to us in 2011 while it had been living with a
southern California owner for over two decades. The car was a very
nice driver upon arrival but had been color changed to a
non-factory color. The decision was then made to perform a ground
up restoration to the highest standards and return the car to its
factory correct combinations as per its COA. A lengthy restoration
ensued and the result is likely the finest restored Carrera MFI in
the world. The car has been returned to its factory original
Continental Orange over Black interior and presents as an
unbelievably well restored example.
The car is totally numbers matching including engine and gearbox.
Upon completion in July 2014, the car had a short stay with a
collector in Southern California covering around 600 kilometers
prior to being resold by CPR to a notable Australian collector.
This collector kept the car for nearly 5 years only adding 650
kilometers in that time period. In total the car has covered just
over 1200 kilometers since its complete restoration. CPR reacquired
the car and it just returned from Australia in late April 2019.
The car has been perfectly preserved in the 5 years since its
restoration. Extremely limited mileage was added during this time
and great care was taken to ensure the car didn't suffer rock chips
or weathering of any kind. It essentially remains in as-restored,
flawless condition.
This MFI is a very special car for us. The car has a presentation
that is truly unmatched to any other MFI we have ever seen. The
Carrera MFI is a fantastic investment grade Porsche and a great way
to get everything you would with a 1973 RS for a substantially more
affordable price.
