For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Costa Mesa, California

Vehicle Description

If your next car needs to be a bright shiny red, orange or blue muscle car then this one probably isn't for you, but if having a car that no one else on planet earth has then keep reading. For starters, how many 69 Super Sport Camaros have survived with 39,188 miles? This truly unique Camaro SS was ordered in Olympic gold paint (code 65), brown vinyl top (code F) and Midnight green standard interior (code 723). The SS side stripping ties in nicely with the black grill and tires. If you describe this color combination to most people they would have a hard time imagining it looking good, photos help but when you walk up on this car in person it all starts to make sense ending with a whole range of awesome complements! You can see where GM was going with this combination in person when you realize the gold has a tiny touch of green and the brown top with a slight green hue tying in the interior.
The interior on this car is completely original (never removed) including carpeting and original floor mats. All gauges and electrical components perfect working order including key buzzer warning and reverse/ neutral safety switch.
As far as the paint... great lengths with many spray outs to achieve the exact and correct Olympic gold color with ultra fine metallic. Most code 65 cars are some random version of gold with heavy metallic and although might look nice on their own just wouldn't work with this top/ interior, it had to be correct.
As far as options, this X55 car was ordered with a factory ZL2 functional "Super Scoop" hood. It's estimated that less than 200 super sports were originally ordered with one. Front/rear bumper overriders and D80 option also were chosen as part of the package.
As far as the mechanicals, there are no surprises here. Starting with the numbers matching drive train it fires right up with perfect working choke (no warm-up necessary to drive). The engine has never been completely apart, only to replace the camshaft and lifters with new GM spec parts otherwise only cleaned/ detailed during it's one professional respray.
This car spent the majority of his life in a garage in Pennsylvania. It was last registered in 78 until resent years. As the new owner will discover... this is an extremely well cared for example of a completely rust free (original sheet metal) unmolested car.
There's a lot more that can be said about this vehicle (feel free to ask any questions) but the best way to understand it is to come see it, inspect it and drive it... that's when it'll all make sense. It's a one of one and extremely hard to find in this condition. If you can make it yours, you'll honestly be the only one with one like it! Thank you for your interest.
