Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1955
Ford Thunderbird. One of the most beautiful pieces of Americana.
They were considered to be direct competition to the Chevrolet
Corvette. Helping spawn a new generation of automobiles in the
United States, and aimed to take on the European market, the Ford
Thunderbird was powered by a 292 CID V8, which gave the already
smaller, lighter car the power it needed to make for both a nice
road racer as well as the great car for older couples to sit back
and enjoy a movie at the drive-in. Mated to the engine is a 3-speed
automatic transmission, which allowed the car for a smooth ride,
but in the higher gear allowed the vehicle to cruise at highway
speeds without drinking too much gas. The interior of this car is a
beautiful black and white vinyl. The hard top is painted in black
to give the car a black tie look. Take the top off to enjoy the
beautiful weather in absolute style! If you get caught in the rain
you can always put up the black vinyl convertible top. The exterior
is painted a slick black, with a stunning Aluminum rims and Wide
White Wall tires. Driving a 1955 Ford Thunderbird is truly an
experience one simply cannot explain, these cars are the truest
form of Americana one can find. Options on this 1955 Ford
Thunderbird include: Aluminum Wheels, AM Radio, Vinyl Interior,
Manual Convertible Top, Aluminum Wheels, and Wide White Wall Tires.
