Vehicle Description
You probably were just attracted to this 1967 Dodge Dart because
you thought it looked cool and was priced right. Little did you
know that this two-door is a sleeper with a powerful upgraded V8
and four-on-the-floor to maximize the fun.
The wide front end and big chrome bumpers give the Dart an imposing
look that's perfect for muscle car upgrades. But this one doesn't
try to announce its power. Instead, you get to appreciate the
classic clean lines of the body. And you can pick up on nice
details, like how the wide grille extends beyond the headlights and
the rear glass curves inward. It's a terrific sleeper where you're
more likely to admire the quality respray of the factory Dark Red
Metallic paint rather than notice the large dual exhaust tips. So
there's a beauty to this car, and the rumble clues others into its
full brawn.
The interior continues the sea of red. And just like the exterior,
it's like to impress people with who clean and stock the full setup
is. The carpeting, headliner, dash, and upholstery have the fresher
look and feel of a proper investment without ever losing that pure
1960s vibe. You'll even appreciate the little classic details, like
the texture of the door panels and the working dome light. There
are two wide rows of bench seats, and so you can happily offer
friends and family a ride. But the best treats are reserved just
for the driver. You get the original thin/grippy steering wheel,
which gives you a clear view of the factory gauges. But details
like the column-mounted tach, auxiliary readouts under the dash,
and Hurst shifter signal that this sleeper Dart is hiding something
special under the hood.
The tidy inner walls of the engine bay really let you showcase the
V8 upgrade. The 360 cubic-inch V8 was still a few years away when
this was first built, but it's such an ideal Mopar powerhouse that
it makes a nice home in this performance Dart. In fact, we're told
this is a fully built setup with a .030 bored over kit, .484 lift
Mopar Performance Purple Shaft camshaft, and Rhodes lifters. It
also inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an
Edelbrock high-rise intake. Long tube headers add power and a great
rumble to the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. You have full
control over this V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to a
four-speed manual transmission.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and factory
buildsheet. We love this Dart because it has that right old-school
sleeper vibe. That means an incognito style and a vintage power car
feeling that loves to keep you connected with the road. It's the
kind of classic car fun that lets you feel like you were the king
of the Saturday night blacktop back in the day. So if that sounds
irresistible to you, call today!
