Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1940
Packard 120! Packard was established in 1899 and wouldn't see their
first car for over 2 decades. Packard quickly established a name
for themselves with their quality and dependability. Fast forward
to 1935 and Packard unveiled the 120 and it would offer a vast
array of body styles. The 120 would see production up until 1941,
just before America waded into WWII. This model is one of the most
original Packards we have seen here. The gray paint has lost its
sheen but looks like original lacquer paint. Body and metal are in
remarkably good shape. The hubcaps and wide white wall tires really
give the car the period correct look. Inside the gray seats have
been replaced and are in very good order. Under the hood is a
straight 8 believed to be a 282ci in displacement. This motor has
turned over for us like a knife through butter. Power is ran down
through a 3-Speed Manual gearbox on the column that we know and
love as 3-on-the-tree! Car comes with a show sign with some details
of the car. This information is unverified but states the stroke
and bore to be 3.25 x 4.25, 120 Horsepower, 3700lbs, and original
cost was $950! Current owner has had her for over a year, acquired
from a private owner. Title is clean and clear and ready to be
transferred into your name now. This is one of the most original
Packards we have seen here. Whether you would like one as close to
factory as possible or ready to turn her into something custom this
Packard commands your attention! Options on this Packard include:
Cloth Interior, AM Radio, and Bias Ply Wide White Wall Tires. This
1940 Packard 120 is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be
