1946 Ford Super Deluxe Woody Wagon. Rarely seen factory Birdseye maple body and still retains all of its original wood. Birdseye maple bodies were reserved for special Ford buyers, not an option you could just "order" you had to know someone higher up to get one.
Purchased new by Jeanette Schaffer of Milwaukee Wisconsin at "Northwestern Motor Car Co" in Milwaukee. She primarily used the Woody for Visits to family members, vacations, and book deliveries. Her Bookstore was near her house so she walked to work everyday. Eventually the wagon was sold in 1969 or 1970 to an early ford collector.
Largely original Wagon in amazing shape. This rare woody retains all of its original Lumber in excellent shape with no rot, but could use a refinishing of the exterior wood with a fresh coat of varnish to be show quality again. Every piece of glass is original with the original Ford markings. The wagon has had one professional repaint that still shows beautifully. It retains all of its original floors and sheetmetal in great shape. Proper restoration and mechanical refurbishment was performed as needed over the years to keep this Super Deluxe woody wagon in excellent shape. Runs and drives fantastic.
