Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1948 Lincoln
continental. The first Lincoln Continentals were factory custom
rides of the wealthy and famous in the late 40s and early 50s. They
pioneered and took advantage of many trends that were just
developing in car culture at the time. Like lowered roof and belt
lines and styling the car for length and sleekness. This green
Continental is finished in an unusual shade for a Continental, with
a green exterior over neutral cloth interior. The car no longer
runs the original Flathead V12. Now it's powered by a 351ci V8 with
a 3-speed automatic. The car runs and drives well, but it's a
survivor by the definition of the word. It runs and drives, but
"old car" life has clearly taken hold. The passenger window isn't
working, the wipers and fuel gauge need some help as well as the
original clock. That said the Continental does have working AC, and
CD player with AM/FM radio. Overall, it's a solid, big classic with
a lot of historical significance. A great driver or a good
candidate for restoration. This 1948 Lincoln continental. listed by
our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including
