Vehicle Description
This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a terrific way to get a
vintage car with upgraded appeal. That's why you have the
numbers-matching V8, but it's now upgraded with added performance
components. And the special green color is factory-correct but now
shines with added luster from a professional respray. So dig into
the details on a stylish, fun, and affordable total package.
The trim tag says this was born Elkhart Green. It's a distinctive
Corvette color paying tribute to a terrific racetrack, and it was
only offered for two years. So it's great to see it looking so
distinct from a quality later respray. You may give the bumpers and
trim some attention if you're looking for perfection. But with the
clean glass, good rubber, and attractive fundamentals - like the
way the headlight doors rest flush - it's quite a nice total
package. They even went for some distinctive style with well-placed
upgrades, like the color-matched steel wheel behind the rally trim.
And the L88-style hood pays tribute to the racecars at Elkhart
Lake's Road America.
The saddle interior is a harmonizing color against the green paint
for a factory-correct and true 1970s-style machine. So it's great
to take out the T-tops and show off the full color package. And
don't forget, this is from the final year of the removable rear
window, so you can really get a nice breeze flowing through the car
whenever you like. This car likes being vintage, but it also has
the finish and features to be an easier driver. You have the
classic steering wheel, auxiliary gauges at eye level, and bucket
seats with plenty of legroom for comfort.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch motor. The
polished air grabber, alternator, and valve covers give it some
added flair that encourages you to dig a little deeper. That's when
you see this has been enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor with electric choke, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube
headers feeding the dual exhaust. There's even an aluminum radiator
to help keep everything cool. This classic has not been taking much
time on the road lately, and so it could likely use a weekend
tune-up. Or you can even utilize the value price to upgrade the V8
even further. After all, this was built to be enjoyed. That's why
you have four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, and the
TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, car cover, and
seat covers. This is the distinct Stingray that also has a terrific
price so that you can give it the personal touch you really want.
