Vehicle Description
Here's a heck of a lot of power pony for the money. This modern
classic 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 has a fuel-injected 32-valve 305
hp V8, and it's done in one of the best colors around with a very
speedy look. So there is no better way to turn heads for the
price!
Ford wanted to up its game even beyond the awesome GT, so it
resurrected the Mach 1 package in 2003. This was only available for
a couple of years, and Torch Red was the most popular because we
all love a speedy red pony car. But popularity still doesn't take
away from rarity. There were less than 3,800 red examples over the
full run, and that's a lot less than even some Ferrari models! This
shows all the right signs of being the factory application, and
averaging about 1,900 miles annually means this one shows it was
more about a pleasure driver than a daily commuter. A sleek red is
also desirable because it looks so speedy against all the black
details. The body kit, rear spoiler, and stripe package are a
modern take on the Mach 1 legend. There are even upgrades like the
black 18-inch alloys and deeply tinted windows that add to the dark
side without taking away from the appearance of a well-preserved
and well-respected modern classic.
The retro theme continues inside where seats are intended to recall
those found in vintage Mustangs, complete with silver accents and
comfort weave-style inserts. Of course, these leather buckets are a
lot more comfortable and supportive than the 1960s vinyl. Plus, low
mileage means less seat time to make sure this whole package
presents particularly well. The full instrument panel has a satin
silver surround and special gauges reminiscent of the early
Mustangs. But beyond these retro-cool touches, these Mach 1s are
desirable because you also got all the best modern features,
including power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cup
holders, cruise control, tilt steering column, power seats, AM/FM
stereo with six-disc changer, and cold-blowing R134a air
conditioning. A modern classic also means modern safety features
such as dual airbags and anti-lock brakes.
The Mach 1 was special for another reason: horsepower. This DOHC
32-valve 4.6-liter V8 was upgraded right from the factory. It was
related to the SVT motor, and it included a twin-bore 57mm throttle
body, high-flow heads, a special setup on the camshafts, and a
performance exhaust manifold. The result is a 305-horsepower
juggernaut. There are even upgraded Borla exhaust tips to help let
this V8 rumble with superiority. Ford engineers also took the time
to add a host of suspension improvements front and rear to make
this an enhanced driver for the enhanced performance V8. Best of
all, the five-speed manual transmission gives you maximum enjoyment
and maximum control over the full package. Plus, there's power
steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and grippy ZR-rated sport
tires.
The sale comes complete with a reproduction window sticker and a
detailed maintenance journal. This is distinction, power, and
rarity all rolled into one bold red package. So you're looking at a
collector Mustang with modern appeal. Call today!!!
