Superformance MKIII SP01029 is one of the finest and best
maintained roadsters on the market today. The stunning Titanium
paint is complimented by elegant Diamond Black stripes. The car
even has a fitted hardtop that was painted to match, as well as
tasteful accessories such as stainless steel quick jacks, Firefly
stainless exhaust with ceramic coating and a Firefly driveshaft
shield.
The roadster is powered by a 520cid motor custom built by
Competition Motorsports to make 587HP and an incredible 699 lbs. of
torque. A polished billet air cleaner sits over the aluminum heads
and Edlebrock intake manifold. Other engine goodies include an
electric choke, Canton oil pan, billet water hose connections and
McLeod aluminum flywheel. All of that power runs through a Tremec
TKO 5-Speed manual transmission.
This Superformance MKIII has a Limited Slip Differential, Power
Disc 4 Piston Wilwood Brakes and Bilstein coil-over shocks. The car
features components from Cobra Valley including front and rear
adjustable sway bars and an upgraded rear shock mount, along with
better rear control arm sway bar bushings. Other options include a
factory glove box signed personally by Carroll Shelby, fire
extinguisher, tonneau cover and soft top with side windows,
radiator bug guard, stainless steel inner fender liners, battery
cutoff and a battery tender.
SP01029 has a traditional wooden steering wheel and custom wooden
shifter knob, along with a 5 point cam lock shoulder harnesses.
Period correct Smiths Gauges with a Lucas Ammeter Gauge are set in
the period correct dash layout. The doors are secured by original
style carriage style latches. All openings, such as engine bay,
trunk, and cockpit are wrapped around steel subframe for increased
strength and support. The dash is wrapped in leather, as are the
steel framed seats with period correct webbing. The carpet has been
protected since new with custom removable rubber molded mats and
now has new Superformance floor mats.
The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted
reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll
Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in recreating the
legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
SP01029 has 14,475 miles and the pampered roadster comes with three
binders that document the car's impeccable history, a dyno sheet
and maintenance records. Titled and registered in Michigan as a
1965 Ford, the car is available for $104,950.
