Oldsmobile Cutlass SX Convertible! This frame-off restored Cutlass
has been badged as 442 tribute and it certainly looks the part.
Over $100K was invested in this build and it definitely shows it
everywhere you look. The body is exceptionally straight with even
and consistent panel gaps. The red paint is stunning, deep, and
glossy and the white accent stripes really set it off. The power
white convertible top looks clean and crisp with a very clear rear
window. It's hard to top this great color combination! The exterior
eye candy doesn't stop here though - it also features a ram-air
hood with twist-locks, a rear sport wing, very nice chrome bumpers
and trim, flared exhaust tips with rear bumper cut-outs, and chrome
Foose wheels wrapped in Riken Raptor tires. Under the hood sits the
original 455ci V-8 with a Holley EFI system added to it. There's
also a CVF front-runner system that holds the AC compressor (new AC
system, but originally an AC-equipped car as well), chrome
alternator, and power steering pump. Keeping things cool is a new
aluminum radiator. The 455 is mated to a 200R4 transmission and a
12 bolt rear end, providing great freeway cruising capability and
the ability to really get on it when you want to. Stopping power
comes from power front disc and rear drum brakes. Road handling is
excellent thanks to a rebuilt front end featuring front adjustable
coil-overs, sway bar, tubular A-arms, and tubular lower control
arms - all from Detroit Speed. There's also a rear sway bar with
boxed rear control arms and newer shocks. The interior quality is
in keeping with the high level of the exterior. The ivory vinyl
bucket seats are very comfortable and in great shape, as is the
rear seat. A black center console houses the automatic shifter with
faux wood shift knob. The black and faux wood theme carries through
into the dash and door panels which are also in excellent
condition. The black carpet is like new and is accented by custom
442 floor mats. Other interior highlights include working courtesy
lights, 2-speed wipers, original AM Oldsmobile radio, and Dakota
Digital gauges on the dash. Around back in the trunk you'll find an
original jack and a matching boot cover for the convertible top.
This Cutlass is an excellent opportunity to get a completely
turn-key restored classic for a fraction of what it would cost to
