Vehicle Description
A truck like this 1987 Chevrolet K10 4x4 has the kind of
presentation that looks extra sharp. The A/C interior makes it
extra comfy. And the fuel-injected V8, overdrive transmission, dual
fuel tanks, and lifted 4x4 stance make it extra versatile. So it's
the kind of total package that gets extra attention.
The factory-correct dark blue paint has been updated later in life,
and so it has a good gloss and shine to show off the well-creased
body lines that make this generation Silverado an icon. It's not so
fancy that it takes away from the true 4x4 usefulness, but it does
go well with the mirror-like chrome bumpers and nice trim for a
proper shining package. Overall, the exterior has a sharp and clean
appendance that's also still versatile. The tall 4x4 stance and
liner paint in the bed make it better for work or play. And the
upgraded headlights are much brighter to light the way.
The sea of blue continues inside. It has quite a stock style, but
you can quickly see there were all the right investments to keep it
feeling fresh. The smooth dash, soft velour seat, nice door panels,
new window seals, and good carpeting are part of an inviting
atmosphere. And as you hop into the driver's seat, it feels like a
command position with the tilt steering column and wraparound
gauges. This also has the right well-integrated upgrades. The
factory air conditioning now runs on modern R134a refrigerant. And
while the stock Delco AM/FM unit is in the dash, your real music
comes from an upgraded Bluetooth radio under the seat that connects
to the amp and speakers. There's even a cup holder center console
around the 4x4 floor shifter that adds a USB input.
Under the hood is a clean-looking V8. Chevy's hearty 350 cubic-inch
motor is made even better by fuel injection. And the long-tube
headers and dual exhaust give it the right power and rumble. The
two-speed 4x4 transfer case, Falken Rubitrek tires, and newer
off-road shocks make for a proper off-road machine. Power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and a Positraction rear end are nice for
on the pavement. This even has cruise control, dual fuel tanks, and
a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive for longer
drives.
