HIGHLIGHTS: Look twice-this isn't a Phaeton! Glass window four door
convertible! Classic color combination! Flathead V8 w/ three-speed
on the floor! Beautiful, high-quality restoration!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 1938 Ford Convertible is simply a
dream-clean, straight, and solid. Having been kept in a private
collection for over 25 years, this car has not seen abuse and the
body condition shows that it has been cared for and driven on
occasion since its restoration.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The dark blue paint accentuates this
car's body styling cues, we think it looks fantastic on this car!
With a brilliant shine, this car is very, very eye-catching. There
are some very minor imperfections here and there that are typical
of a car that has been restored for 25+ years, but this Ford
presents more like a fresh restoration than anything else. The
paint has a beautiful shine, and a deep gloss! There are some very
light 'car duster' scratches that are typical of a show car that
has been cleaned many times over the years.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the exterior of this car,
the interior is in beautiful condition showing extremely minimal
signs of use. The dark saddle interior color is the perfect
complement to the deep blue exterior. This car is comfortable to
sit in, and presents astoundingly well for a restoration of this
vintage.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Though this car was restored in the mid-1990s,
it still feels fresh! Under the hood is a good old Ford Flathead
V8. Tried and true, the Flathead is a classic choice for powering a
car like this! The engine sounds great and is more than enough
power to have a blast behind the wheel of this four door
convertible. This car runs great, sounds great, and really feel
dialed in.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The floor shifter and the fact
that it's a glass window convertible!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This one is very challenging to
nitpick.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The fuel gauge and radio are not
operational.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you've been collecting
for years, or you're just looking to get into a blast from the past
for the first time, this classic convertible Ford is sure to fit
the bill!
