Mercedes-Benz had a tough act to follow after it phased out its immortal tube-framed 300 SL in 1963. A new, unit-body model, designated the W113, appeared as the 230 SL in 1964 and continued through 1971 with the larger-engined 250 SL and 280 SL. This classic Paul Bracq penned luxury two-seat touring convertible offered a modern and angular look, often accentuated with a tall, airy “Pagoda” hardtop that could be removed in fair weather. The 250 SL was both expensive and rare. The 250SL Roadsters are undoubtedly the sweet spot of the classic Mercedes-Benz model range. They remain attainable despite rapidly increasing values over recent years, in addition to being extremely stylish, and reliable enough to be used for pleasure frequently. The elegant and understated styling of these Roadsters, penned by designer and artist Paul Bracq, made the model a desirable accessory for young Hollywood celebrities in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The magnificent 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL roadster featured here is finished in gorgeous factory horizon blue over parchment leather interior with a papyrus white hardtop and black soft top. This incredible motorcar was subject to a no expense spared, complete nut and bolt restoration performed by Pebble Beach winning Hahn Auto Restoration with a reported cost of $280,000. We are proud to offer this investment-grade 250 SL roadster to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the best. I personally believe that because of the high-level restoration and rarity of this iconic motorcar the investment potential will grow beyond your imagination!!
