Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is pleased to present this 1979
Chevrolet Corvette. Since it's debut in 1953 the Corvette has set
the bar high for American made sports cars in terms of performance
under the hood and on the road in terms of handling and this 79' is
a prime example of how that is taken to the next level. This white
beauty grabs your attention with the aggressive styling the late
70's had to offer from the lower front air dam to the duckbill
style rear to a custom hood that imitates that found on a 68'.These
looks are well backed up by a 383 stroker small block V8 that
resides under the hood that makes its presence known with the
choppy idle made by an aggressive cam that is complemented by the
top notch parts put into the build. These features include aluminum
cylinder heads that breath in through a polished dual pane intake
manifold topped with a double pump Brawler carburetor; and it makes
its exhale through a set of stainless block hugger style headers
that go through a catless exhaust to complement the aggressive
powertrains horsepower with adequate aggressive sound. The engine
compartment is outfitted with some nice updates such as a 1-piece
aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a March engineering
style front engine bracket that supports a serpentine belt system
that replaces the primitive V-belt system that the car came withThe
beastly powerplant is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission to
add to the exhilarating experience of driving a true sports car.
Sitting in the interior you will notice a custom set of digital
gauges that offer a more modern look as well as improved accuracy
on the readings over the outdated stepper motor style gauges the
car had to offer in 79'. The Vette is equipped with power brakes
and power windows making being in the drivers seat that much more
of a pleasure and to top things off there is a once piece removable
glass roof to let the air in but the car also comes with optional
T-tops to give you options on how exactly you'd like to enjoy this
quicker than quick C3. It would be a shame to pass on owning a one
of a kind Corvette that truly embodies what the creation of the
Corvette was all about so don't miss your chance to have this
complement your driveway....and probably your house too.
