Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte, North Carolina, is proud to list
this groovy 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. The Volkswagen Beetle has been
everywhere, and it has done it all. It started life as a people's
car in Germany; it became America's darling before heading south to
put much of Latin America on wheels and is now one of the most
sought-after classic cars. It has conquered land, water, and air.
It has won races, shuttled scientists in Antarctica, and carried
millions of passengers in Mexico City.Smothered in slick seafoam
green paint, this Bug is gorgeous. This car has just had over 100
hours of restoration work, and it shows. The suspension has been
lowered and re-aligned, keeping the 17" Volcano wheels nice and
true. The 1300 cc engine has been treated to a teardown, clean, and
re-assembly with all new gaskets. Electronic ignition replaces the
original points, and a rebuilt carburetor keeps it all running
smoothly. Underneath the custom convertible top is a beautiful
interior with a Bluetooth audio system, and the odometer is in KMs.
