Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is elated to offer this 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe that is
a true, one-owner example since new. This lovely 911T has spent the
entirety of its 52-year life with its original owner in Colorado.
The car was delivered new at Bob Hagsted Porsche Audi in 1970 and
was driven regularly over the next 46 years, accumulating near
70,000 miles.
In 2016, the car was sent to Vintage Car Works in Denver Colorado
to have a bare metal restoration performed. The car spent two years
in restoration and a flash drive with over 1,600 photos of the
restoration process is included in the sale. Upon review of the
photos, we found that the condition of the car before the
restoration was outstanding. Virtually no visible rust was found
when the car was stripped, and the metal finishing work before the
paint process was top-notch. All of the car's underpinnings were
stripped and refinished in their correct shades of black. Hardware
was replated in correct finishes throughout. The engine and gearbox
both received detailed overhauls that are also documented in the
photosets.
The finished product of this restoration is superb. The paint has
excellent depth and no notable imperfections. The body is arrow
straight with excellent gaps and retains all original panels. The
car's brightwork is in lovely restored condition with high-quality
preparation and anodizing performed on the window frames, and
replacement chrome where needed. All rubber was replaced to include
body seals, jamb seals, and weather stripping.
This 911T has the finest original documentation we have ever seen
on an early 911. The car is accompanied by its original owners
manual and sleeve in mint condition, its original service book,
original dealership brochures and color charts from 1970, original
window sticker in mint condition, original keys with the factory
pocket holder in mint condition, detailed service records, a
Certificate of Authenticity along with a handful of other notable
items.
Factory options on this 911 per the COA included the following:
-US Equipment
-Koni Shock Absorbers
-Antenna, left w/ loudspeaker & noise suppression
-Comfort Equipment
-Tinted Glass all around
A true one-owner example of an early 911 coming available is a very
rare occurrence today as virtually all of these cars have seen
multiple owners after 50-plus years of existence. This example has
not only lived under single ownership but has been meticulously
cared for since new. If you are in the market for a 911 and like
the added benefit of a car with clear, verifiable history since
new, this 1970 911T is a must-consider option for any enthusiast or
collector.
