Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte, North Carolina, is proud to list
this outstanding 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The Beetle was a
masterpiece of innovation and economics-it was compact but
practical and inexpensive to buy and maintain. The car's curved
exterior not only gave it a groundbreaking look but was also
aerodynamic. Rear-wheel drive and its small stature gave the Beetle
agile handling, particularly compared to the American land yachts
of its day. The innovative air-cooled engine required less
maintenance and was easy to fix.The Super Beetle was a vast
improvement over the standard Beetles. Instead of using the
standard Beetle's torsion bar, the Super Beetle came with a
MacPherson strut front suspension assembly. This change gave the
Super Beetle a greater turning radius and improved its driving
quality. Another distinction between the Super Beetle and the
standard Beetle is their size. With a slightly longer and wider
body than the VW Beetle, the Super Beetle expanded its storage
capacity. This made it possible to fit the spare tire and still
have room for groceries. When you walk up to this Super Beetle, you
instantly know it's been well cared for. The blue paint shines
brilliantly and makes the chrome bumpers and trim dance. The
interior has an updated audio system and looks just as good as the
outside. Driving this car is a blast! It runs and drives great! A
smooth-shifting four-speed manual transmission makes it so much fun
to go through the gears. If you have been looking for an extremely
clean Super Beetle, call us today because it won't be here
long.Enjoy the carefree days of hitting the backroads with the wind
blowing through the cabin while you listen to the melodic hum of
the flat-four engine buzzing around the corners behind you.
