This 2-owner car has been well maintained stated by the owner. This
pickup has been well optioned with all of the creature comforts you
could want including; heated leather power seats, power mirrors,
keyless entry, power windows, a retractable hard top and a premium
stereo system. The options don't stop for the interior though, this
SSR features the much sleeker trim piece that wraps around the rear
tailgate and ties the taillights into the trim piece. Up front a
similar chrome accent was added along with the chrome Chevrolet
emblem to better sell the retro look of the 40s and 50s trucks the
designers were shooting for. The drive train of the SSR in 2006 was
a 400 horsepower 6.0l v8 that was plenty of power to get this small
pickup moving in a hurry. What makes this SSR standout is that LS
engine is mated to a manual 6 speed tranny. Total production
numbers for standard in SSRs was around 2000 for the whole run. As
you ride in this car you will notice the subtle similarities in
design that were pulled from the past and integrated into this car
including the steering wheel with silver trim that hints to the
large and thin style of the old pickups. The wood strips in the bed
are a classy touch and is a reminder of the wood plank beds from
back in the day. The bright Red exterior and Black leather interior
with the top down will put a smile on your face and grab the
attention of everyone that passes by.
