Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1979
Chevrolet El Camino! This ride is wearing a very catchy shade of
blue with a black carpeting, gray bucket seats, and quite the relic
of what looks to be a pretty banging sound system. Unfortunately,
the subwoofers are not hooked up and loose power cables and RCA
cables are present. It appears to have been there at one point but
currently only produces basic sound from a speaker in the rear of
the car. The aftermarket radio functions as it should including USB
connectivity, Bluetooth, and HD radio. The engine is said to be a
383 V8 and feels like it makes a healthy amount of power. The 4
speed manual shifts smoothly into all gears and really gives the
car a fun feel. The bolstered bucket seats also add to the
experience to help keep you planted while maneuvering the roads.
The rear differential housing is most definitely not stock, and the
seller states it is a posi-traction unit. The engine bay does show
some use but has a lot of goodies including a Quick Fuel
carburetor, power brakes, and power steering. Some minor rust
bubbling was noted on the passenger side, and the paint condition
overall would rate at fair to okay. This 1979 Chevrolet El Camino is
offered by the St. Louis sales staff and can be seen in full detail
on our website. Our listing all include 100+ HD photos and a
detailed video!
