Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1964
Ford Thunderbird Landau. Wow, the history of the Thunderbird is
rich! Debuting all the way back in 1955, the Thunderbird was Ford's
immediate response to the newly marketed Corvette. Rushed from idea
to prototype in under a year! The Thunderbird would become one of
Ford's longest produced cars. Spanning from 1955-1997, and
2002-2005, the Thunderbird would see not just a few redesigns, but
11 generations in total! Here we have a 1964, the first year of the
fourth generation. A "Z" code car. Approaching this car you quickly
tell there is something special about the paint. The white paint
has an incredible amount of metallic flake that looks great under
normal lighting but simply shimmers when the sun lands on her. The
black vinyl interior looks great and goes well with the white
exterior. Per the owner, under the hood you will find the rebuilt
but original "Z" code 390ci V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic
transmission. The car runs and drives out well and shifts smooth.
The current owner has her for over 8 years, acquired from a private
owner out of Washington. Recent work includes the mechanical
restoration of the engine, brakes, new cooling system, radiator,
tires, correct 4-bbl carburetor. The title is clean and clear and
ready to be transferred into your name now! Don't miss your chance
to have one very unique Thunderbird that is certainly going to turn
heads anywhere she goes! Options on this T-Bird include: Vinyl
Interior, AM Radio, Seat Belts, Wire Wheels, and White Wall Radial
Tires. This 1964 Ford Thunderbird Landau is offered by our
