Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger! The Dart debuted in 1960 and started with humble beginnings competing the lower priced segment. When the muscle car wars broke out Dodge revamped the Dart and it cemented itself into MOPAR history. While the Dart would see 4-generations spanning only 16 years (we won't talk about the Fiat based Dart of 2012) we love to see these legends on the road today! Here we have a '72 model and a Swinger at that. Swinger was the performance trim for the Dart and naturally getting a more aggressive stance and if I may say made them awesome to look at! The gold paint (PPG Deltron 2000) looks terrific and the black vinyl top looks new but stated to be original. The Dunlop Radial G/T Qualifier white lettered black walls really complete the stance. (Note, the Dunlop tires were replaced after consignment and now has white lettered BF Goodrich Radial TAs all around) No bubbling around the back glass. The gaps look lined up well, doors close solid with a nice clunk. The chrome is nice and bright. The black vinyl interior looks great and goes well with the exterior color tones. The original AM Radio is in the dash but there is an AM/FM/bluetooth receiver under the dash and an amp under the seat, plus all new speakers were installed. Under the hood, per the owner is believed the original 318ci V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car runs and drives out exceptionally well. Odometer shows 37k miles and is stated to be actual per the owner. The title supports the claim. We don't have any records of the restoration this car was subjected to but was clearly done well and done right. They even went to links to chalk mark for quality control which was common of the era. This Dart commands your attention! The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! While there are Darts out there for sale you don't see as many Swingers, let alone one that looks like this one. She is one to be proud of folks!
