Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this
menacing Tuxedo Black 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute. The second
production year of the first-generation Camaro retained most of the
aesthetic elements of the 1967 models, but saw the elimination of
the side vent windows, revised taillights, and several color and
trim changes. The first thing you'll notice on this one is the
gorgeous Tuxedo Black with pearlescent white stripes. In the
sunlight, the metalflake in the black is just mesmerizing, and the
pearl in the white stripes really pops - a modern look that you'd
have not seen in 1968! Under the hood, its original small block V8
engine was replaced with a much more powerful, professionally built
402 cubic inch engine. This big block-powered '68 is equipped with
an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb, finned aluminum Mickey
Thompson valve covers, and a massive Griffin aluminum radiator with
twin electric fans. The transmission is a 4-speed Muncie M21
transmission, backed by a rebuilt 10 bolt Posi rear end with 3:55
gears. This potent '68 now has front disc brakes, a custom dual
exhaust system, new windshield and side windows, new 17" U.S. Mag
aluminum wheels with fresh Nitto NT555G2 performance radials
(275/45ZR17 at each corner), and many new exterior molding pieces.
Inside is a fresh interior with new synthetic leather seating,
Dakota Digital dash, a Sun Super TachII, a triple gauge cluster for
oil pressure, coolant temp, and amps, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit
(in the glove box, to maintain the classic '68 interior's original
look), new carpet, a new custom center console, and new mats with
embroidered Camaro logo. It also has power brakes and power
steering, so this is one Camaro that drives as good as it looks!
