Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1968
Plymouth Roadrunner. Plymouth's Road Runner was intended to be a
bare-bones, budget muscle car- stripped of the unnecessary features
most of the contenders came with. Light and simple, and very
capable. Pontiac's 1969 GTO Judge was intended to be a direct
competitor to Road Runners, but because the Judge option was above
the already well-equipped GTO, they were usually more expensive and
heavier that Plymouth's lighter, unibody secret weapon. And with
engine options up to the mighty dual quad 426 HEMI, most
competitors didn't stand a chance. All of Plymouth's performance
big-blocks were strong, fast winding, torque filled powerplants.
Powering this Mopar is a 440 Cubic Inch V8, putting the power to
the ground is a Tremec TKX 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Power is
sent to the wheel through a Ford 9 Inch Rear End with 3.51:1 Final
Drive Ratio. This 68 is painted maroon with a black vinyl interior
which pair well.Options on this 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner include:
Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM Radio, Tilt Steering
Wheel, Black Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial
Tires, and Seat Belts.
