Vehicle Description
This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette gets it right in the best places. More
than just an affordable price, you get the later C3 clean design
with added flair from the side pipes and extra muscle from an
upgraded small block. There's even a loaded A/C interior. So it
makes for a bold red classic that has even more eye-catching
appeal.
Red Corvettes are iconic, and so it's nice to see this one upgraded
to quite a cherry hue later in life. This combines with straight
body panels to showcase the sharp edges and rounded fenders we love
on these C3s. Basically, this looks terrific out in the sunlight,
and it has the overall kind of style and features that are best
made for a driver's classic. That's truly an ideal classic Corvette
recipe. While the body is quite free of brightwork for a more
contemporary look, that doesn't mean they skipped out on the high
polish presentation entirely. It's just saved for accessories like
the addition of side pipes that announce to the world that you have
an upgraded coupe.
This C3 is going for a traditionally attractive package, and so it
only makes sense to have a deep black interior against the bright
red exterior. So you just know you're going to want to take the
T-tops out and show off the full color package all the time... and
it's a lot easier to do that in the summer thanks to cold-blowing
air conditioning. There are plenty of additional desirable features
on this Corvette's list, like power windows, a rear defogger, an
AM/FM/CD stereo, and an amplified speaker system. There are also
nice details like a working dome light. The tilt wheel gives you a
clear view of the large speedo and tach. We love how the C3 gives
you all the other gauges prominently placed in the top center of
the car.
Under the hood is an upgraded 350 cubic-inch crate V8. The
consignor also says the top end was rebuilt around 2017 with a full
Trick Flow kit, and it has the aluminum heads to prove it. You can
also spot more upgrades like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor,
billet distributor, and Champion aluminum radiator with dual
electric fans. The whole presentation has a fresh look because
we're told there's only about 120 miles on the motor since its
major work. And the Hooker Super Competition headers add even more
power while also feeding the shining side pipes to give this
distinctive Corvette a distinctive growl. The three-speed automatic
transmission, fully independent sports suspension, power steering,
and four-wheel power disc brakes all come together to make a great
driving package.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance
records. You're looking at a Corvette that has been upgraded to
make a great first impression for everyone and keep the driver
grinning from ear to ear. So when it's this affordably priced, you
know it's time to hurry up and call today!
