Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1973
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe. The Karmann Gia was first introduced
in the United States in 1956. Over 400,000 units were sold by the
end of its run in 1974. Volkswagen produced the Ghia as a rear
engine vehicle with design features that loosely resembled Porsches
of the same period. Amazingly, the Karmann Ghia remained basically
unchanged in its nineteen-year run. The only real changes came in
1973-74 when the rear seat was removed and turned into a storage
area. This 1973 volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe is painted in bright
yellow with a black vinyl interior. Under the hood is a 1585cc 1.6L
four-cylinder engine attached to a four-speed manual transmission.
