Gateway Classic Cars is excited to present this 1967 Ford Mustang
GT Fastback for sale. This Fastback is a Powered by a year correct
S Code 390 CI with custom built ceramic coated headers and dual SS
exhaust and has just been rebuilt to 1967 specs in August of 2021.
The Transmission was done new with a Tremec TKX 5 Speed close ratio
with a balanced yoke and driveshaft. The rear is a 350:1 Posi and
the entire drivetrain was redone and put together well. The current
owner also dove into redoing the Suspension, Steering and brakes!
He tells us that any sheet metal that had any amount of rust was
replaced and restored to like new, the underside was primed with
urethane primer and top coated with enamel while on rotisserie.
During Paint this Fastback was block sanded, then urethane primed
and painted in two stage urethan Monterey Red color and clear
coated 5x with a clear urethane then finished with a wet sand,
buff, and mirror polish. The Black stripes were done in urethane as
well and are below the clear coat. The interior sports the iconic,
factory installed Tilt-Swing away Colum, very rare and it is
operational! Inside, on the Dash sits an upgraded electronic gauge
cluster with calibration of speedo and fuel gauges, an Upgraded
radio and sound system with the Amp mounted in the trunk, looks
original but is optioned with Bluetooth for handsfree play. In
summary This car is done and ready for the shows this summer!
