This supercharged 2005 Nissan 350Z offers an enticing combination
of great looking exterior and powerful drivetrain at a great price.
It's also well-positioned to provide miles and miles of driving
enjoyment, as it's lightly travelled, with only about 37k miles in
its rear view mirror and has benefitted from attentive care and
will arrive with a Carfax on board as proof it's avoided any
notable collisions. Decked out in its original Sunset orange paint,
this is one sharp-looking performance machine. The distinctive
shade represents very well, with a nice consistent shine and no
serious blemishes to be found. The 350Z debuted to a lot of praise
when it was released a few years before this '05 rolled out, as the
performance enthusiasts were impressed with its overall finish and
smooth aerodynamic shape, and more than a decade and a half later,
this is still a very vital and capable looking ride. The
aftermarket hood sports an aggressive scoop that provides a custom
look, but stops well short of pulling focus from the rest of the
car. From all indications, this Z has led a sheltered life - if you
step to the front, you'll see that its air dam still has its fresh
black color and the signature sloped headlights feature clear
lenses. From that vantage point, it's also easy to see how it came
by its impressively low drag coefficient - you can just picture it
slipping through a wind tunnel almost undetected. The two-tone
leather interior has certainly been a major beneficiary of light
usage. Zs of this era featured bucket seats that provided a
combination of prominent bolstering for support and enough padding
to provide comfort in more sedate driving conditions. The pair on
display here are great representatives, holding their original
shape impressively well and showing no creasing on their surfaces.
There's a nice array of interior features on board, including power
door locks, power windows, heated power seats, remote door locks,
and a steering column that both tilts and telescopes into position
to go along with air conditioning. A high-end Bose AM/FM/CD stereo
with an auxiliary port stands by to handle your audio needs and the
navigation system just above it is a welcome bonus. Despite the
350Z's identity as a nimble, two-seater with performance and
handling as main priorities, the storage area in back does provide
a welcome amount of usable space to go along with its clean
condition. Lift the hood and you'll see a very well-detailed engine
compartment that carries a few cues that this is no garden variety
Z. A sturdy brace spans the shock towers inside to increase its
rigidity and a supercharger sits on top of the engine. The 350Z was
already hovering around 300 horsepower in its regular
configuration, and with that supercharger on top of the 3.5 liter
V6, you can imagine just how potent the acceleration on this
specimen really is. The engine pairs with a 6-speed manual
transmission that's a complement for inspired driving. Power disc
brakes at all four corners provide dependable stops and power
steering combines with the Z's relatively wide track and low stance
to make it an outstanding corner carver on its 18" chrome Nissan
rims that are outfitted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. This
supercharged 2005 Nissan 350Z is a thrill to drive and it offers a
lot of curb appeal to go along with exhilarating performance.
