Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this top
notch 1972 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street build. The Chevrolet Chevy
II/Nova is a small automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, and
produced in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985
through 1988. Nova was the top model in the Chevy II lineup through
1968. The Chevy II nameplate was dropped after 1968, with Nova
becoming the nameplate for all of the 1969 through 1979 models. The
1972 Nova received only minor trim changes from the previous year,
despite the lack of change, Nova had its best sales season in
years!Pro Street is a style of street-legal custom car popular in
the 1980s, usually built to imitate a Pro Stock class race car. Pro
Street cars should appear to be more at home on the drag strip than
the street, while remaining street legal and not gutted like a Race
Car or Bracket Race car. Typically called a Backhalf car
(tubbed). This particular 1972 Nova has a long list of upgrades.
With a one-of-a-kind paint job and no expense spared, this is a Pro
Street build. Powered by a 461ci V8 topped by a Weiand 6-71 blower,
the long list of motor work is impressive! Backing the motor is a
TH400 Automatic Transmission with B&M internals and a Ford
9-inch rear end with 3.90 Posi rear end. As you step into the full
custom interior to complete your pass while sitting in Recaro
seats, the attention to detail is evident. If you're in the market
for something unique, done right, and insanely cool, this 1972 Nova
Pro Street build is the one for you!
