Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is honored to present for sale,
on consignment, this STUNNING 1958 Volkswagen Ragtop Beetle! This
story started out as a Man with a Pan who came across this gorgeous
58 ragtop body and the rest is history. He mated the two with a
Ridetech suspension setup, Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes, and a
Performer Chassis by Air Kewld out of Phoenix AZ. Out went the 36hp
1200cc flat four in exchange for a healthy 1968cc flat four with
92mm pistons, 74mm crank, W120 cam, Big Valve heads, .909 deck,
50cc head cavity, 8.5 to 1 compression ratio, full flow with
external oil filter and internal sump filter. This was mated to a 4
speed swing axle with 3.88 ring and pinion, short axles, SuperDiff
and heavy duty side plate to prevent flexing damage. Features
include Quiet Pak exhaust that has been ceramic coated, CIP SS
Super Speed wheels with matching spare, the highly sought after
Safari windshield, pop-out side windows, swan mirrors and a custom
interior by Top Shoppe out of Phoenix all completed in 2016.
Approximately 1000 miles have been put on the build since
completion making this car virtually new! We can't say enough about
the level of detail, thought and care that's gone into this
restoration and several of us in the showroom wouldn't have let
this car go up for sale if we had the money ourselves. This is
truly a diamond in the rough when you get a good look at it. It
would be an honor to have this one in your collection, give us a
call today!
