Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1970
Dodge Challenger with a 4 speed Pistol Grip shifter! Most in the
business have a soft spot for three pedals and eight cylinders and
this beauty is no exception to that! Unlike the small blocks
offered by GM and Ford the Mopar boys were really ahead of the
curve with their 340. Hotrod.com decided to test the advertised
horsepower figured and with their dyno testing a 4 barrel 340 was
putting out 320 horsepower vs the advertised 275. Replace that 4
barrel set up with the 6 pack and those numbers creep up even
further putting it neck and neck with the heavier 383. Long story
short, despite being a small block, there is NOTHING wrong or
lacking with a Mopar 340! This engine seems to be a prime example
of a well-built and well-maintained engine with no concerning
smoke, sounds, or behavior. Go back from the underrated small-
block, to the 4 speed manual transmission, and round things off
with the 3.55:1 Posi-Traction rear end! This is WINNING combination
in a light blue color with a nice white interior! The exterior
shows no major wear and tear. The underside shows it has been
driven and enjoyed, but not abused. This 1970 Dodge Challenger
Pistol Grip is offered by the St. Louis sales staff and can be seen
in full detail on our website. Our listing all include 100+ HD
photos and a detailed video! GatewayClassicCars.com Video:
