Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is delighted to present
this super cute 1969 Volkswagen Beetle in burgundy on black. Nice
restoration on this car folks, looks very nice outside, inside, and
no shame in popping the hood to see the clean little air cooled
4-cylinder. These were, and still are beloved cars. They are
simple, cute looking, good on gas, and fun to drive! Walt Disney
even featured a Beetle in the "Herbie" movie series, where the car
had a personality and the heart of a champion- popping wheelies,
doing burnouts, and blowing past competitors on racetracks.
Fiction, but it was a lot of fun, just like this car! Shows the
number of kilometers 58,414 which equals 36,297 miles. If you are
not familiar with these, they are rear engine cars, with flat
horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engines, which allows for more
space in the car. The unibody structure saves weight, and aides
rather good fuel economy. The rear engine means storage can be
found up front, and the interior space feels just right when
sitting inside. These cars have been morphed into all kinds of dune
buggies and custom cars, because of the great design aspects. This
one came to us from Brazil, and features an AM FM radio.
Volkswagens of the past are gaining in popularity, and value,
especially when of this caliber. Meep Meep!
