Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this
very nice 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500, in champagne on tan. If you
have been looking for a nice SL, give this one a serious look.
Outwardly, this Mercedes-Benz looks practically new, and the paint
is stunning- smooth, and high gloss. If it has been painted,
someone did a spectacular job. The interior? Showing very little
wear and has clearly been taken care of. First impressions? The car
looks new, yet 23 years have gone by since it left the assembly
line. SL's are direct competitors to Corvettes, etc. but they are
superior in many ways including overall quality, engineering,
reliability, fit and finish, and practically every other category.
The 380, 450, 500, 560 SL's were 70's and 80's favorites, and
remain highly coveted today when in good condition. This car, a
1999, SL500 is powered by a strong and refined 5.0-liter V8
producing 302 horsepower at 5600 rpm and a 339 foot-pounds from
2700 rpm to 4250 rpm. 0-60 mph acceleration comes in at 6.1
seconds, quick then and still today. Yet it is a comfortable
executive level coupe that won't rattle your teeth out or make you
smell like a mechanic. All installed equipment is working per the
owner, and CarFax shows no accident history. Comes with the hardtop
shown and soft top. One of the nicest examples we have seen, and we
would encourage you to act quickly before it is gone.
