One of the best performing American sports cars offered on the
market. The Z28 was everything a track enthusiast could want. Daily
driver with track capability. These were only produced for 2 years.
These stripped down, light weight models came with a lot of
performance from the factory. The handling is impeccable and the
styling goes hand in hand. This one was obtained from the original
owner and has only 5,900 lightly driven miles.
EXTERIOR: The summit white pops with the black wheels and ground
effects. The front spoiler, side skirts, and rear spoiler are all
exclusive to the Z28 ensuring ultimate handling when cornering.
This car makes you feel confident driving. The wide, aggressive
body fits the Z28 exclusive wheels finished in gloss black. The
original tires have been replaced with summer performance tires.
The giant Brembo brakes came standard with carbon ceramic rotors
but are an $8,000 option on other model cars. The rear spoiler
extension was an additional option from the factory. Overall, the
car is in excellent shape and has been well taken care of.
INTERIOR: The interior is simplistic yet stylish and the black on
black suede/leather combo sits just right. The only options that
were offered with these cars were air conditioning and a radio;
this car has both! People could order these without those units for
weight reduction purposes. The bucket seats hug you nicely and are
manually adjusted. There are also Z28 plated door sills and premium
Z28 embroidered floor mats. It has a nice suede steering wheel and
shift knob. The interior itself is in excellent condition and shows
like new still.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Pop the hood and you'll find the iconic LS7
7.0L V8 pushing 505HP, the same engine you'll find in the C6 Z06!
The engine is mated to the Tremec 6 speed manual transmission. The
engine bay is very spacious and clean! Everything is in showroom
condition.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pop the trunk and you'll find that it's gutted.
There's no carpeting or trunk liner, just a single floor mat to
reduce the weight in the car. You still have full cargo access and
plenty of room to store whatever's needed. There's a premium gray
and black car cover and a box full of original documentation that
belongs to the car - including a folder full of service records the
owner kept!
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is squeaky clean and all the original factory
stickers and markings are intact on suspension components. The
suspension setup on these cars is incredible. GM developed an F1
racing style adjustable suspension that allows you to tune it on
the fly! It was thoroughly researched and still to this day is one
of the best suspension setups you can buy on a production vehicle
from the factory. The dual multi-mode stainless steel exhaust is in
excellent condition, as well as the independent suspension
components.
