give Pontiac credit for starting the 'muscle car' craze as we know
it. The GTO was THE quintessential muscle car and the most popular.
So popular that it's still highly sought after today. This 65 GTO
clone reflects that desirability; having been rebuilt to such a
high detail that it's literally indistinguishable from a GTO
optioned 1965 Lemans. This car presents and drives like near new.
The exterior is painted in a unique aqua green over parchment white
interior with bucket seats and center console. The car is topped
with a white convertible roof, which raises and lowers at the touch
of a button. Powering this beast is a 400ci V8 with '6X' Pontiac
heads breathing through - period correct - Pontiac Tri-power
carburetors. The engine runs like butter and snatches this "GTO"
around with ease. All that Pontiac torque is put to the ground
through a 4-speed manual transmission. This car is a real pleasure
to row through the gears. With plenty of low-end grunt and solid
mid-range punch. The car is rust free and has good panel fitment.
It looks gorgeous on the period correct Rallye I wheels wrapped in
sexy Redline tires. This car is everything you remember a 1965 GTO
