really started to rev up! Chevrolet had the Corvette, but it didn't
compete in this newfound market. Seeing the success of their
competitors, Chevrolet decided to dream up a car that could go toe
to toe with the mustang and what came out would become a legend.
The Camaro debuted in 1967 kicking off the pony wars within the
muscle war, a rivalry that still lingers today after 50 years! The
Camaro may be in its 6th generation now but what we have here is a
1969, the last year of the first generation and perhaps the highest
sought-after year of its production. Approaching this car, you
can't help but admire the color as she is painted in Solar Silver
Metallic Gold. The black vinyl interior complements the color and
goes well with the black Boss Rims that really set off the stance
of this pony car. The rims are wrapped in Mickey Thompson Street
Comp Tires. 245/45/R17 in the front and 275/40/R18 in the rear.
Lurking under the hood is big block performance, a 454ci V8 bored
.030 over. All that power is literally at your fingertips through a
6-speed manual transmission. She only has 317 miles elapsed since
the frame off restoration which is documented in a photo album that
goes with the car. She is sporting a vortec manifold, Holley 700
CFM Carburetor, and a High-Performance Cam. New features at time of
restoration included: Interior, Neoprene bushing, Digital gauges,
Raptor bedliner painted undercarriage, Exhaust, wheels, shocks,
4-wheel disc brakes, and front clip, quarters, hood and trunk lid.
