Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to feature this very
hard to find 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible. For the 1970 model year
the Pontiac gave the GTO a revamped look. Styling changes included
a total Endura nosepiece with split oval grilles and dual headlamp
housings (this new design eliminated the optional hide-away
headlamps), creased body sides, a different rear-bumper taillamps,
and exhaust pipes that exited through a valance panel under the
rear bumper. Of the 40,149 Pontiac GTO's made for 1970, only 3,629
of those were the convertible. A true diamond in the rough for avid
collectors on GTO's. The white top accents the interior nicely and
gives it that fun summer cruiser look. This one truly stands out
from the competition with the super cool "hood-mounted tachometer"
that came optional on these models. This car comes equipped with
the heart-pounding 400 that's mated to a 400 automatic
transmission. Options include Automatic Convertible Top, AM/FM
Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires. For more
