awesome 1983 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper! There is no shortage of
character and flair with this purposeful little van. If this van
could talk, oh the adventurous tales it would tell! There is a 1.9L
inline 4 mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission, both are
functioning together in peace and harmony. Zen comes by way of
character building decals to showcase the love of the open road and
all the places this van has been. Tunes come by way of an AM/FM CD
player and there is a manual pop top for added headroom once you've
reached your destination. In the cargo area you will find a small
sink, a 2 burner stove and a small refrigerator and a convertible
bed. Since it was purchased by the owner in October 2020, there has
been a lot of work done to keep it road trip worthy. Those repairs
include all new belts and hoses, right front wheel bearing
replaced, new head gaskets, cylinder heads, spark plugs, coolant
temp sensor, ignition coil, air flow meter, oil pressure gauge, oil
switch, new rear brakes, new exhaust, oxygen sensor, left and right
side mirrors, spark plug wires, rotor, distributor cap, vacuum
advance retard pod, idle stabilizer, air flow meter, engine rebuilt
with a new accelerator cable, new battery, tightened up oil hose
fittings to repair a leak, front and rear shocks and the
transmission was replaced with a lower mileage unit. On the
interior the insulation was all replaced in the hatch, sliding
door, driver and passenger doors. New carpet was installed and the
center bench storage compartment was insulated. A new propane set
up was installed for the stove as well a block heater was installed
for those cold cold nights up in the mountains. Additionally on the
outside a ARB awning was installed and will come with zip in walls
for a sun room atmosphere that have never been used. New pop top
struts and a Thule roof rack round off this long list of goodies.
This van was in need of some love and has reciprocated that love in
the way of many happy miles. Now it's time for it's next adventure
with you!
