This is a 1939 Pontiac Silver Streak. I am the third owner of 28 years. The car has 90,200 actual miles. During my ownership, the six cylinder engine was completely rebuilt (crankshaft, main bearings, connecting rods, pistons, etc.); the engine has under 1500 miles since the rebuild. Although the engine is great, the transmission needs to be repaired or replaced. The interior was also completely redone, but due to outdoor storage, needs work.
Frame and body are sound, and essentially rust free. In addition to interior work, the exterior could use a new coat of paint. However, no body work is needed. The car has never been in an accident. Recent repairs include replacement of front and rear brake cylinders, brake master cylinder, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new plugs, points, condenser, distributor cap, and plug wires. A new battery was installed, and it comes with body and shop manuals, original tools, as well as a new custom made car cover.
All original, the car is an excellent candidate for restoration, or for a custom rebuild. It is rare to find an eighty-three year old vehicle in this condition. Additional photos can be found at http://brittsminis.com/Pontiac.html
