Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is pleased to present this 1996
Buick Roadmaster Collector Edition. This beautiful vehicle was
special-ordered by its original owner from Ray Buick in Chicago
during December of 1995. The 1996 Roadmaster was the last
full-sized station wagon built by General Motors. The engine is a
5.7L V8 factory rated 260 horsepower. With its dual exhaust, this
was one powerful engine to move this large wagon. The car runs
smoothly, and is happy to cruise at 70mph all day long. This was
the same engine used in the Impala SS, and similar to the one used
in the Corvette of the same era. The LT1 5.7L engine was built to
withstand extremely high miles and maintain durability. The body is
clean, and presents well. The paint is elegant Light Driftwood
Metallic, and was used in the Buick sales brochure. As a heavily
documented vehicle, the Roadmaster comes with all paperwork
including it's original order form, extensive maintenance records,
and a clean CarFax history showing no accidents. The Roadmaster was
serviced with Ray Buick until 132,449 miles. Included with the sale
is the original owners manual with emergency key, two 1996 Buick
model line sales brochures, factory repair manuals, two sets of
keys and key fobs, and the original set of Buick spoked rim covers
and steel rims. The vehicle is a clean survivor and was well cared
for. In 2015 it was passed from the original owner to a family
member who continued to care for and cherish this fine piece of
automotive history.
