Edsel Pacer, 2 door hard-top. The Edsel nameplate is a classic case
of Ford's misstep in marketing a new brand. That said, history has
been kind to the Edsel and now they are appreciated as a unique
classic of the 1950s. This 58 Edsel is a great example of what Ford
got right with the Edsel. The Horse collar grille, seagull
taillights, the pastel two tones, and of course 'space age' chrome
and gadgets - like push button gear selection! The Ranger wears
period correct green-turquoise and white two tone, over same color
interior. It's been tastefully modified with "lake side pipes",
lowrider long skirts over the rear wheels, and dummy spotlights.
It'll look awesome at your favorite burger joint on cruise night.
Even better as a movie car in a 60s cruising scene. Speaking of
cruising, this car drives great. The 361 V8 fires up every time and
pulls the car down the road with ease. The car stops and tracks
true as well. The drivetrain has only turned 40+ thousand miles
since rebuild. This Edsel was blessed with cold blowing aftermarket
AC, and a cd radio under the dash. All the gauges - except for the
tach - work as well, including the drum speedometer. Overall, it's
a great car begging for a trip down memory lane; let's go!This 1958
