Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1964
Volkswagen Beetle! The Beetle has an incredibly deep history dating
all the way back until the 30s era! With a team lead by Ferdinand
Porsche the "people's car" debuted in 1938. Over the next decade
the car became widely known in its home country as the Kfer
(German for "beetle"). With subtle changes over the years across
many generations the Beetle is the longest-running and most
manufactured car of a single platform ever made! Here we have a '64
model. Its hard not to enjoy the white paint as it looks good and
shows off all the lines of this classic. The black vinyl seats look
sharp and are in good order. Powering this Beetle is a 1600cc
4-cylinder engine that is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts easily. Current
owner has had her for over 26 years, acquired from local private
owner. This VW is believed to be a 3-family-owned car. Current
owner initiated the restoration in '96. Car was taken apart and
each piece painted separately and reassembled by Manning Paint &
Body. Interior done by Fitzsimmons Upholstery in 1998. Car comes
with original window sticker which was $1,721.46! Wow. The title is
clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now.
Don't miss your chance to have a very sharp Beetle that has been
well cared for, is certainly a joy to drive and will turn heads
anywhere you go. Options on this VW include: Vinyl Interior, Seat
Belts, and Hub Caps. This 1964 Volkswagen Beetle is offered by our
