Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to feature this 1929
Ford Model A! Nearly 100 years old and more popular than ever! The
Ford Model A of 1928-1931, was the second huge success for the Ford
Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced
on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the
venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new
Model A (a previous model had used the name in 1903--1904) was
designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard
colors, but not black. By 4 February 1929, one million Model As had
been sold, and by 24 July, two million. The range of body styles
ran from the Tudor at US$500 (in grey, green, or black)to the Town
Car with a dual cowl at US$1200.[4] In March 1930, Model A sales
hit three million, and there were nine body styles availableThe
current owner bought it as a gift for her husband 15 year ago and
it became his pride and joy for the years to come. With the 201 and
3-speed manual transmission, this Model A has been kept period
correct from the wheels to the ever so fun "rumple seat" that folds
out in the rear. This one has been mechanically maintained and has
some upgrades under the hood to make it easier for Sunday driving
on the road. That's right, enjoy a cruise into town to the local
car show or for some ice cream at the Dairy Queen, and watch the
whole town stop to admire something you don't see often! A
100-year-old vehicle moving around like it did in its
hey-day!Options on this 1929 Ford Model A include: Rumple Seating,
White Walls, 3-Speed manual, White Wall Tires.
