The Reatta was the first attempt for Buick at a two seater, grand tourer vehicle. So, Buick decided to put some extra effort into the program, which began with the production being performed by specialized teams at stations instead of the conventional assembly line. After one team was done with their portion of the assembly, the car was moved to the next station by robots. Production was kept low with only 21751 being produced over 4 years.
