Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this beast of a
1968 Chevrolet Camaro. The current owner claims to be the 2nd owner
and has enjoyed building this black beauty. Starting off with
original panels, the car was block sanded and painted in a gloss
black, a custom hood with functioning vent for heat reduction was
added by Tubby's in Tampa, full width ducktail spoiler, chrome
bumpers, adjustable coil over shocks for the right stance, and even
Cragar wheels all add to the curb appeal. The interior features
Houndstooth bucket seats, center console, AM/FM/Cassette player,
R134a Air Conditioning system, Grant GT steering wheel, AutoMeter
tach, quad auxiliary gauge package, roll cage bracing behind the
front seats, and even a Hurst shifter. Powering this beastly '68
was a "new" Dart 565 Stroker Big Block V8 that is claimed to be
rated at 640HP and claimed by the owner to be about a $23k full
roller motor. Reach out for a full vehicle breakdown, some specs
include a MSD ignition with rev over chip, Hooker long tube
headers, custom welded stainless steel dual exhaust, electric
exhaust cutouts, etc. This powerplant is mated to a "new" racing
3-speed automatic transmission with reverse manual shift, has an
aluminum racing driveshaft, and Dana 60 rear with 4:11 gears.
Additional features include power steering, power brakes, a trunk
mounted fuel cell, electric fuel pump, and custom-built serpentine
system. If you are looking for a car pretty enough for shows and
mean enough for the track, this Camaro could be the one for you.
