This 1984 Chevy K20 Custom Deluxe is a very cool and original 3/4
Ton squarebody that spent its life in Oregon. This truck is about
as stock as they come, except for the radio, and it was well cared
for. The body on this rig is really clean and all original. Being
original, it is going to have a couple of dings and marks on it,
but it is a rust free body. The paint color is Desert Sand Metallic
and from what we can tell it is all original. The paint still
shines nice and looks really great for being original. It does have
new side moldings installed as well as a new rear bumper. The
underside is clean and solid with only some surface rust. We found
no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is in nice original condition. Everything appears
stock and original with the exception of the stereo and the bench
seat was recovered. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and
turn signals are working. The gauges all work and the heat and
wipers are working. The horn is not working. This is a nice, clean,
stock interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It starts easy and runs
strong. The engine is the 5.7L 350 V8 that runs great with no
issues that we found. It does have a newer Edelbrock Carb, HEI
Distributor, and new radiator and new hoses. They also added
headers with dual exhaust that sounds great! The transmission is
the 700R4 Automatic that shifts nice (it was rebuilt some years ago
and we have the receipt). It is mated to the np208 transfer case
and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Corporate 14
Bolt with 3.42 gears. The front axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with
3.42 gears. It does have a newer set of BFG 285/75/16 Mud Terrains
on a cool set of factory steel wheels with hubcaps. Use this truck
as an everyday driver or just a cool toy truck.
