Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this
brilliant Kawasaki Green 1966 Ford Mustang restomod for sale. This
little gem has quite a few surprises hidden, and some that are "not
so hidden". The Kawasaki Green (PPG) paint is not for those who
prefer to remain unnoticed, and it looks great from any angle! The
gorgeous Eleanor E-2 body kit adds to the visual feast, and
furthers the uniqueness of this custom Pony, with its custom front,
hood, and rear. Under the hood of this '66 is where a lot of the
"hidden" surprises are. The engine is a 4.6L 32-valve quad-cam V8
Cobra engine, and it's sporting lots of shiny goodies - polished
CAI tube, upper intake, and valve covers really give it a finished
look. A giant Flex-a-Lite aluminum radiator with its
thermostatically controlled electric fan keeps the Cobra engine
well within its comfort zone. The MagnaFlow muffler equipped dual
exhaust starts with a set of JBA "shorty" headers, and it has the
subdued, but potent sound that lets bystanders know that this car
is no slouch. Behind the 4.6L Cobra engine is a 5-speed manual
Tremec T-45 transmission that is more than capable of handling what
the Cobra powerplant can dish out. The updated Ford 8.8" rear end
houses a limited slip differential and some highway-friendly 3.08:1
gears. The front suspension is a Heidts Mustang II kit and is
equipped with lightweight tubular control arms. A Wilwood master
cylinder and Wilwood front calipers add enhanced stopping
capability to the 4-wheel disc brake setup. Maier Racing
Enterprises full-length subframe connectors improve overall
stiffness and add to the already sure handling that this Pony
delivers. The custom Shelby-style aluminum wheels (17"x8" front,
17"x9" rear) are shod with P225/45ZR17 performance radials, which
have plenty of tread life left. Inside, the custom synthetic
leather covered ProCar front buckets provide both comfort for the
long hauls, and support for spirited driving. The synthetic leather
rear bench is enhanced by the dramatic Cobra emblem embroidery. The
driver is kept well informed by a custom set of AutoMeter NV
gauges, and will appreciate the Ididit tilt steering column, which
is topped by an Alcantara-rimmed Grant steering wheel with
centering stripe. Drivers will also appreciate the custom shifter
setup, which moves the shift knob closer at hand, and provides a
nice notchy feel. The custom retro-styled AM/FM head unit (with USB
ports) provides the tunes, if you ever want to listen to something
other than the awesome sound that the car puts out. This custom
Pony won't last long - so stop looking and grab it before you miss
out!
