Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is pleased to present this
awesome orange and white 1971 Chevrolet Super Cheyenne C10 pickup.
Chevrolet produced these "Action Line" trucks beginning with the
1967 model year and concluding in 1972. The Action Line is the
first generation to use the "C/K" designation to differentiate the
2WD drive trucks from the 4WD versions; with the "C" designating
rear wheel drive, and "K" designating 4x4 drivetrains (until the
1987-91 model years, which used "R" and "V" for 2/4-wheel drive
configurations respectively). The Action Line trucks are among the
most popular and desirable trucks today, and this is one of the
nicest we've had. Looking at this truck from a distance, some might
mistake it as being virtually unused; but up close, it's evident
that it has been used, but only "ever so slightly"! It's really in
great condition: from the body to the paint, to the interior, to
the drivetrain, this is really a gorgeous truck. Whomever did the
painting took great pride in their workmanship, and it shows - the
body and paint need to be seen up close to appreciate how nice this
truck looks. The exterior trim is in similar shape, looking nearly
like new, complete down to the detail of the woodgrain applique
strips. The weatherstripping and seals are also in very good shape,
so from a restoration perspective, this baby is "complete" - just
buy it, drive off, and enjoy the fact that your classic Super
Cheyenne is in your garage, and not the restoration shop! Powering
this clean '71 is the ubiquitous 350 CID (small block) V8, backed
by a GM TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, which delivers the
output to the 12-bolt rear end. The mighty "mouse motor" is topped
by an Edelbrock 4BBL carb on its aluminum intake. A set of Hooker
headers scavenge the exhaust into the true dual exhaust system,
providing a nice muscular sound, as well as freer breathing than
the original cast iron exhaust manifolds/single exhaust
configuration ever could have. It's riding on a set of original
style wheels with bright chrome beauty rings and BF Goodrich Radial
T/A tires. The interior of this Super Cheyenne is as nice as the
exterior, with nearly everything almost indistinguishable from new.
The carpet looks fresh, the switchgear and levers look great, and
the bench seat looks awesome; with its black and white houndstooth
fabric providing improved comfort vs. an all-synthetic leather
seat. The black vinyl trim on the bench gives improved wear
resistance in the most friction-prone parts of the seat, while the
cloth keeps passengers from getting "sticky shirts". Passenger
safety isn't overlooked either, with power front disc brakes
(introduced on Chevy pickups in 1971) and seat belts for both
outboard passengers. Additional features and options on this 1971
Chevrolet Super Cheyenne C10 include cold air conditioning,
retro-styled AM/FM/Cassette head unit (not hooked up), Cloth/Vinyl
seating, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Rallye Wheels,
Seat Belts, Spare Tire, and Tilt Steering Column.
